Lara, The TV Star

If you missed it, you can click the photo above to view Lara's TV debut on KFMB-TV (CBS) in San Diego tonight.

Lara is cool as a cucumber as Barney, Ollie and Miss Lily watch the live shot at Viewpoint Park in Encinitas at 5:30 p.m.

Encinitas native Jeff Zevely, a (very, very) funny and gifted reporter, puts Lara at ease.

Joey stopped by after work to give Lara moral support.

Miss Lily is relieved that it is Lara in the spotlight this evening,
not her.

Packing up to leave, there's nothing like the satisfaction
of a job well done.

Time to go home for dinner.

  1. You can do it Cutie! Sending you all the best to trim those last five pounds from a little island in the San Francisco Bay Area known as Alameda!
Blessings to your adoptive mom-Your kindness and initiative to helping this dog are admirable. No doubt the time and effort you put into her healing were not easy or cheap, but the look on Lara's face is worth more than gold!
    Congrats!

  2. The article on Channel 8 tonight was fantastic!!!! Lara looked incredible and the reporters did a wonderful job of describing her past condition and everything that's been done to help her in the past 8 (?) months. Of course all credit goes to Lillian :) It was especially nice of Barbara-Lee Edwards to remind people at the end of the spot that Lillian rescued Lara from the Carlsbad shelter -- all of us who knew Lara when she came in will be especially appreciative -- thanks Lillian!!!!

  3. Thank you so much Lillian for caring for Lara in this way. It is is a VERY big deal and the fact you have brought the information to others to be helped is so incredibly giving.

I am a professional trainer and work with a veterinarian and our focus is on fitness, health, and proper nutrition so your story is very near and dear to my heart. I also live in Encintas so it's even more near and dear :)

Again, thank you for giving to this dog and to the many you are helping by sharing the story.
